All our Councillors are committed to improving the environments of the three Wards and working in partnership with other groups and the local County Council to provide the best value service possible.

Penmaenmawr Town Council have received complaints regarding dog fouling. The Town Council urge all dog owners to bag it and bin it. We would also encourage anyone witnessing fouling to report it on the link below. The more reports to County Council the better chance Town Council have asking for enforcement.

Snowdonia National Park Promoting the Welsh Language
Snowdonia National Park have launched a public Consultation on the Draft Welsh Language Promotion Strategy for 2022-2027 if you would like to take part you can do so via the link on the Consultation Letter.

Temporary road closure
Maes y Llan, Dwygyfylchi: From 01/03/2023 to 05/04/2023

The reason for the road closure is to facilitate the installation of two high voltage cables to connect newly installed secondary substation, which will be carried out by O’Connor Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power, from Wednesday 1st March 2023 until Wednesday 5th April 2023.

Have a Go Session’ in Penmaenmawr
Leisure services will be running ‘Have a Go Session’ in Penmaenmawr, Tan Lan and Rhyl over the coming weeks with hope that if the sessions are successful that we can access further funding to expand the sessions and locations.

Please could you share with young people and parents.
Sessions begin 30th Jan and run until 31st March (currently).
All free to attend.

The foodbank is open 6-7pm Tuesday evenings and 2-3pm Wednesday afternoons.

It is located at St Paul's Church, Celyn Street entrance.

All donations and volunteers welcome.

Penmaenmawr Food Bank

The Clerk reported to Council at the Full Council Meeting on the 28th February that the budget set for Community Skips during this financial period 2022-2023 was £2600.00 However, the projected expenditure to the end of the financial period would be much higher. To keep within the allocated budget (subject to no increases in cost from Conwy Council) would mean 9 skips per year resulting in a 6 week cycle at alternate locations (Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi) The following dates have been booked.

The Flood Store

The Flood Store is located in the Old Weighbridge Clerks Office across the road to the station.

Economic

Economic Well Being – the council will support activity that helps the town’s economy sustain itself and hopefully grow stronger and become vibrant with a diverse range of shops and employment opportunities for our residents

Environmental

Environmental Well Being – the council will continue to promote environmental improvements in the town through the employment of our Civic Pride Wardens, as well as funding environmental improvements

Social

Social Well Being – the council will continue to work with local volunteer groups who provide important support to our vulnerable residents, as well as supporting those volunteer groups that promote healthy living and resilience to our residents
