We have the following four dates confirmed for the community skips;

  • Penmaenmawr – Station Road – 17th August 2023
  • Dwygyfylchi – Maes Alltwen – 3rd October 2023
  • Penmaenmawr – Station Road – 28th November 2023
  • Dwygyfylchi – Mae Alltwen – 2nd January 2024

Skips will be available from 9am until full or between 2pm and 3pm.

Community Skips – Information for residents
A reminder that:

  • You must not leave waste before the skip arrives – this is fly-tipping which is a criminal offence. The skip will be removed if this happens.
  • The skip is for everyone to use – please do not bring excessive amounts of waste, as you will not be allowed to put this in the skip.
  • The skips will be removed if there is any verbal or physical abuse to staff.

We do not accept:

  • Hazardous waste (for example, asbestos, gas bottles, fire extinguishers)
  • Household chemicals (for example, thinners and weed killer)
  • Invasive weeds (such as Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam)
  • Ammunition and explosive materials (such as flares and fireworks)
  • Infectious clinical waste
  • Animal carcasses
  • Plasterboard
  • Trade waste (business materials)
  • Commercial or American-style fridge freezers
