Supporting Dwygy Dashers

Penmaenmawr Town Council are proud to support Dwygy Dashers, a social running group, with free membership.

Penmaenmawr Town Council have awarded a grant of £310 to the Dwygy Dashers to help them train some new run leaders. The group has doubled in membership in the last year, now with 80 regulars and plans for a new group wanting to complete the “Couch to 5K” programme.  Group Leader, Sue Taylor said, “This grant will allow us to train two new run leaders who will help anyone who wants to have a go at jogging in a safe and welcoming environment, meeting new people and improving their physical and mental wellbeing.”

The group is a chance for anyone, of any level of fitness, to meet for a run/jog/walk in beautiful scenery. Current members, mostly residents of Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi, recognise the many benefits to physical and mental health, and the enjoy the opportunity to socialize and meet new people.

They meet at 6p.m. every Monday at St Gwynan’s Church Hall, the group are welcoming and accessible to all.
If you want more information or would like to join in then contact Dwygy Dashers through their Facebook page.
