PENMAENMAWR WATERING CONTRACT

Very soon Penmaenmawr Town Council will be taking delivery of its hanging basket and saddle planters to decorate the town. In order to make sure the plants stay at their best, we need to engage a local contractor to help keep them watered. The season will last from 9th June until 22nd September. Depending on the weather, we will need up to 3 rounds per week. We will have in the order of 50 hanging baskets and 18 saddle planters. We would like interested parties to quote at a cost per round and also include a part round cost should one area need a little more help than another.

The supplier will be working directly with the Town Clerk to co-ordinate the watering schedule on a 2 week basis taking into account the weather and prevailing plant condition. In addition the contractor will be required to provide a nutritional supplement to ensure the plants are fed when required.

Quotations need to include

  1. Cost per round
  2. Cost per part round
  3. Confirmation that the contractor can cover the whole period indicated
  4. Confirmation of plant feed being included
  5. Intention to supply own water
  6. Details of if you have worked for us before.

Quotations are to reach the Town Clerk by 1700 on 2nd June so that consideration can be given at the Governance and Finance meeting later that evening. Evaluation will be based on Quality – compliance and declarations with all requirements listed, Timescales – able to service the whole period and agree ad hoc additional rounds by agreement and finally Cost.

The council my choose not to select any quotation. For further clarification please contact me on
