As you may know we are looking to engage with local tradespeople to help restore the Clerks’ Office Weighbridge to its former glory.
The work would suit an experienced Joiner or Carpenter requires the replacement of the door and window.
Any quotes need to be in front of the Clerk no later than close of business (1700) 28th February 2025. This is so any quotations can be presented at the full council meeting on 3rd March 2025 where are decision will be made.
Councillors will make their decision based upon:-
- Quality – is the person a recognised tradesperson and are they able to fulfil the works to the standards agreed in the specification.
- Is the cost fixed, affordable and provide value for money.
- Can the work be completed within 4 weeks of award of contract.
Quotations should cover the above in their submission.
I have a full description of the work involved. However, bids will only be accepted if the tradesperson has had an on-site meeting with the Clerk to discuss the finer detail and see the existing situation. This is so all tradespeople provide quotations on the same criteria.
